Summering in Santa Cruz

Areas of High Pressure is soon to be in the Santa Cruz Art League's 2005 Fiber Art Exhibit, from July 2 through July 24, 2005. The Art League is open Wed-Sat, noon to 5, and Sunday, noon-4. I believe this piece has never been exhibited, so this is kinda cool for me. And it too, I suspect. Posted by Hello

Lost

(Had to delete picture until October, once the show has opened...see post above).

This is Lost. I know, I know, the word "need" is there in big letters too, but Lost is its name. I don't know why. It's 51" square (I like to know sizes) and it's my entry to the Husqvarna MasterPieces show this year. My piece Third Eye Blind has been touring with that show since 2003. I didn't enter last year, so it was strangely important to enter this year. Posted by Hello

New Title

Funny thing. Nowhere can I figure out how to create another post. Space cadet alien. I obviously need more sleep.

Yesterday I finished one of the two big pieces. I'm going to enter it in the Husqvarna show, and for once, I'm early getting slides done. It took 2 hours to prep, get the quilt up there, photograph it, and clean up afterward. There must be an easier way. And I still have to drive the slide film downtown for processing. But I'm EARLY! Not sure how to post a picture here, though. Note to blogger: help menu. Make it obvious. Some of us don't get enough sleep.
