Children

My son refuses to talk on the phone. He has issues with his voice going out into the world on phone lines. He's 9, and no, I don't think he hears voices or wears a tinfoil hat. I spend time talking to his friends because he refuses. My daughter just had the gall to come into my office/studio and complain that one of my fabric boxes is labeled "red" but it has white fabric in it. Damn, she's right. Hmn. She is a future user of my stash. This bugs me. It probably bugged my mom when I raided her stash too. This stuff is genetic.

Husqvarna MasterPieces

Sigh. Deep breaths. Got into the Husqvarna show with my piece Lost. I busted my butt finishing it in time, working every night on it, even though I had grading and lesson planning to do. I'm so glad it got in. It travels to a bunch of shows, including Houston and internationally. It gets published in a catalog. I even get a cool little trophy statue thing. I love this show, I love that I got in, I'm not even making sense I'm so happy. It has been a roller coaster year (2 years, 5 years). This is a good thing. Now I just have to um you know, finish sewing the binding on :-). Don't tell!!!
